Immunofluorescence
DIF is useful in the diagnosis of suspected autoimmune disease, connective tissue diseases and vasculitis. The staining patterns seen in tissue samples may be specific to a disease or may need to be interpreted with the clinical and histological findings.
Slide Preparation
KorPath helps to facilitate doctors who prefer to read their own slides or who have an in-house pathologist, but not their own pathology laboratory. These physicians can have their specimens sent to KorPath with a request for “slide preparation” and the slides will be prepared within 24 hours.
After preparing these slides, KorPath will also include pre-printed, custom reports that contain the gross description of the specimen and the patient’s information that has been provided. These reports will also have areas for your in-house pathologist to complete with the final diagnosis and certification.
Mobile Pathology Services
KorPath offers a mobile frozen section service to physicians in Florida. Upon scheduling, KorPath will provide a fully staffed mobile unit (including a histotechnologist and board-certified pathologist) to process and interpret your frozen sections via telepathology in minutes. This service allows your patient to receive a diagnosis prior to leaving the office. You can continue to efficiently see other patients while the slides are being prepared and analyzed.
